The Loot #2

Well, my wallet knows no bound when it comes to light novels and otaku goods! S&H fees and duties may break my back, but these awesome books must be procured no matter what!

The biggest box I've gotten to date.

The limited edition of Date A Live Encore. I should've read the actual dimensions of the mousepad before I ordered. As you can see, this thing is humongous! Although it's still awesome regardless.

A box in a box! How nice of them!

Not as much as the previous loot, but still a good haul.

KLNs: Queen's Knight Kael 5, Welcome to the Overhuman Alliance 12, Four Lovers 5, Chunnibyou Days 3,  Me and the Tigress 8.5, Forbidden Boy 5 (Manhwa)

JLNs: Infinite Stratos 5-6, Strike Witches 2, The Romantic Circumstances of a Swordsmanship School 2, Outbreak Company 1-2, Magical Warfare 1, Psycome 1

Sleepless Archenemy and Chrono's World 3 (Complete), Onii-Ai 7, OreGairu 7

All these will have to go to the backburner until I start scanning again. Even then, it will take some time to scan them all...

    1. I saved a lot of money on S&H by ordering from Aladin. I paid about $180 in total, including the duty.

    2. I suppose it would be cheaper to buy stuff as a bulk...
Shipping fees just kill it for me. Also, leaving with parents and having LNs would be quite awkward...

  2. Wow that's a big collections you have there. You must be doing alot of saving up to buy all that lol. Is Chunnibyou Days set in the same world as Sekai Ichi no Imouto-sama or in a completely different world?

    1. I earn about 2.5k~3.4k monthly. Aside from rent and grocery, I don't have much else to spend my money on. I guess that's the advantage of being single and lonely.

As for Chunnibyou Days, a lot of readers are speculating that it is in the same universe as Sekaimo. To be honest, it wouldn't be to surprising. We don't know for sure yet.

    2. It would be interesting to see if there are hints in the novel alluding to characters in Sekai Ichi no Imouto Sama. I hope this becomes a project of Imoutolicous someday since I'm interested in it's story and I want to know what the characters are like.

  3. What is this Aladin you speak of? I've bought LN before, but most of the ones i have are from making friends buy them when they visit Japan - shipping is just ridiculous.

    1. Aladin is a Korean bookstore thing. Think Amazon, but Korean

    2. Aladin is a Korean online bookstore. They recently lowered the cost of overseas shipping by switching their international delivery service to DHL.

And yeah, I do that as well. Although I buy them myself and have the stuff shipped to my friend's place in Korea.

    3. Considering I only know Japanese (and therefore only interested in JLN), how difficult do you think it'd be to use Aladin to ship to the U.S. Easy? Worthwhile?

    4. It's relatively easy and worthwhile. But you'll first have to check if they carry the JLNs in their original language.

  4. Wow is the 1st word that come to mind, other then that is envy and praise worthy. I do wonder where do you find time to read them, assuming you already know how to read them in Korean, Even with ur lonely life and work and other stuff outside of work.

    1. I stopped buying from local Korean bookstores because of their high markup prices. Best to order them in bulk online.
